R.I.P.
Ronnie Barker
Just as I get ahold of some
'Open All Hours', Ronnie Barker dies!
I enjoyed 'Porridge' and hope to
someday see 'The Two Ronnies'
and 'Going Straight'!
WHO
THE HECKLES AM I TALKING ABOUT

I SAW SERENITY by Joss Whedon
this last Friday with my friends Anna,
Travis and Tracie! What a thrill-packed
movie with no crap!! None of the usual
garbage that comes with films, like
pointless movie-only romance, nonsense
plot burps, or lame guest star poop!
VERY GOOD movie that should please
people who like good movies as well
as fans of the show! GO SEE IT NOW!
You don't even need to have seen the
show to get it! I would avoid anything
on tv or internet because everything is
all spoilers. Also: this storyline should
end in a week or two. Yay!

I JUST SAW CORPSE BRIDE by Tim
Burton with my dear friends Bob Scott, Steph
Anna and Tracie! What a wonderful film! It was
beautifully done (and although there was
singing) I enjoyed it a lot! The Corpse Bride
was a sexy ol' cadaver and I teared up
majorly at the end. Because I have Problems.
But really, go and see!!!
My friend Tracie is VIOLENTLY QUAKING
for Serenity this weekend! Sometime after
her 128th viewing we all will see it with
her somewhere! I saw the series Firefly
as mentioned before, and I was totally
hooked. So I'm sure I'll like the movie!
Speaking of being hooked, I finally got
to see ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT tonight
(most? all? of the first season) and this
too was something I had un-seen expectations
for that was totally reversed when I actually
got to see it! Jason Bateman is an excellent
choice for this show! It's sit-on-your-couisn
delightful! And there's no ninjas.
Also this weekend found me playing
Mortal Kombat with my dear friend
Steph while she is alone! It was also
fun times 100%! My history with Mortal
Kombat goes way back as I spent hours
watching my friend Kevin play and play
the game (eventually ending UP at Midway)
so while I never personally played it that
much nostalgia still kicked in! More fun
was had as I recieved a big ol' plush
Batman from her and her roomate Ash!
Thanks!!!
Bob Scott and I continue to work on
a graphic novel, and hopefully that will
finally come to an end this week! I've
slowed up again on my end, but there's
a bit more to be written so I'll have to
kick it up a notch to finish it all!!!
My friend Anna bought us all fake
moustaches, and I will have to
whip out the ol' webcam for a
Moustache Gallery.
Another great weekend avoiding
family and mental problems!!!
I spent like too much money.

CONGRATULATIONS to Owen Dunne
of YOU DAMN KID!
Here's hoping
everything works out with TV!!!

Hey, did you see The
Loonatics?
I noticed that they were drastically
altered from their original
concept art that
was recieved quite poorly. Now they're soft
and forgettable! The thing that got
me was the inclusion of irises in the eyes -- it
seemed to say LOOK OKAY WE GOT
EYES ALL RIGHT at every scene with eyes.
It was almost too much eyes. Call them
eyeballtics. I don't know. Also, I miss
Batman Beyond. I'd rather have had a
restructured Batman Beyond than that, really.
The
Corpse Bride is coming out
soon, that looks interesting!

I sequenced your arrival
I sealed your fate
I pushed the button and
erased your master tape
I'll be your albatross,
Devil, dog, Jesus, God,
I don't wanna be Iggy Pop but
if that's what it takes, hey
If there is some confusion
Who's to blame?
R.E.M. - I Took Your Name
I
want to run
I want to hide
I want to tear down the walls
That hold me inside
I want to reach out
And touch the flame
Where the streets have no name

THE PAST
Recently, I was exposed to FIREFLY
by Joss
Whedon through my friend Tracie
Mauk. She got
(most of) us all together to watch the entire series
and I was blown away by it's quality. I can't wait
for the movie now, called SERENITY, and I
hope it spawns another series. I wish Joss Whedon could
re-do Early
Edition like that! (Early Edition was
a very
good show about a man who got
tomorrow's newspaper today!)
This weekend my friends and I also took in March
of the Penguins, and that was a cute bit of film.
Speaking of great shows, thanks to Bob
Scott we all were exposed to Ricky
Gervais' new show EXTRAS. Ricky was the boss/creator
of the fantastic (BRITISH) show called The Office. I highly
reccomend them both!
Extras is coming to america via HBO sometime soon I understand
so here's a tip-off to watch it!

Telethon held
